Leave it in the Pool!

On One Day, for One Hour all across the United States and other Countries over 6300 swimming athletes collectively participated in the 2010 Ted Mullin "Hour of Power" swim relay to support Sarcoma research. This relay is in honor of Carleton College swimmer Ted Mullin, who passed away in the fall of 2006 from sarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer. Funds raised through this event support research at the University of Chicago into the causes and treatment of sarcoma in young people.

If you interested in supporting the Ted Mullin Fund for Pediatric Sarcoma Research please check out the link below.

Diving head first into Winter Training Plans

Whitman Swimmers have started preparing for our annual Winter Training Trip to Southern California. During the last part of Whitman's 4-week semester break from classes in January, the team will rendezvous in the L.A. area for some of the toughest training, and most fun bonding of the season. In addition to heightened training volumes and intensity, the trip offers us the opportunity to compete against teams outside of our region, which is especially important as we focus on becoming more nationally competitive.

And did I mention it's a lot of fun?!
