Whitman finished up fall semester competition at the annual Northwest Invite at Lewis and Clark. Both the men's and the women's teams held a very steady third place against University of Puget Sound, Whitworth University, Pacific Lutheran University, Lewis and Clark College, Linfield College, Pacific University, College of Idaho, and Cal State-East Bay.Highlights of the successful weekend were two first place finishes from a pair of first-year Whitties. :17.27, Katie Chapman swam a brilliant race, winning the event by less than .7 seconds in a season best time of 2:14.07. On the men's side, Kevin Dyer maintained a dominant lead for all 17 minutes of his 1650. Winning the event in 17:10.29, Kevin finished a strong 24 seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Whitworth.
